This week, Pastor John lead our family to what seems to be a common theme in our body - that Father God will not relent until He has all of our hearts. The Father wants to break us of everything that keeps us from experiencing His mercy and grace. He is looking for hearts that will say "yes" to Him so that He can release heaven through us (1 Peter 5:1-7; Hebrews 4:16; Luke 6:46-49; Ruth 1:15-18; Matthew 6:9-10)
Elder Joshua Sorrows continued preaching about devotion. He discussed how surrendering our will to God's brings a greater level of devotion and eventually breakthrough. Using Jesus' experience at the Garden of Gethsemane from Mark 14:32-37, Joshua discusses how in the same way Christ surrendered His will to God and accomplished His divine purpose on the earth, we are to follow in Christ's example and surrender our will to God's, knowing He has a better plan for our lives.
This week Pastor John shared on how we can get to a greater level of devotion - through surrender. Preaching from John 15:2-5, Philippians 1:20-21, Philippians 3:7-15 and James 4:6 & 10, John shares that before breakthrough and fruitfulness comes, we as a church are in need of a greater level of devotion. This only comes through surrender.
