Easter marks the resurrection of Jesus and His triumphant victory over sin and death on behalf of undeserving people. Pastor John takes us to Mark 15:33-39 and Joshua 1 to emphasize that Jesus' rejection on the cross took place so that we could not only be adopted into the Father's family, but that we could know that God will never leave nor forsake us. The beauty of adoption is that we now have full rights as sons and daughters of the King. We have been made heirs to the throne, co-heirs with Christ! John's exhortation is to live in that reality through experientially knowing the relentless love of our always-adopting Father.
