In part 5 of our series, Rhythm, Joshua Sorrows teaches on the Sabbath. He shares his own journey of discovering the significance of the Sabbath, God's gracious gift of rest to His people. Joshua uses Genesis 2:1-3, Exodus 20:8-11, and Mark 2:27 to show us that the Sabbath was first demonstrated by God himself after creation, then later given to Israel as a means to provide rest and identity after being delivered from their Egyptian oppressors. Today, the Sabbath invites us to silence our idols and remember our deliverance from slavery. The Sabbath is intended to be a day set aside for Rest, Renewal, and Remembrance.
